Brimfield Debut

D & A (Diane & Austin) Antiques and Collectibles made it's debut today at the Brimfield Antiques Fair. SO WHAT IS THE BRIMFIELD SHOW??? Only the largest outdoor antique show in the world, held since 1959 in Brimfield, Massachusetts, three times each year, with thousands of dealers attending! Brimfield is an easy 1-hour ride west of Boston, just West of Sturbridge.

We chose to set up in the Brimfield Acres North field because they have one day shows, today, 1-5pm. Other fields vary days that they open and some open for the full week. We will be in this same field again on Saturday. Someone once said that if we don't have room for any more antiques then it's time to sell off the ones that aren't that special so we can buy new ones. We'll go looking during the rest of the week.

We did okay today considering an announcement was made around 3 that heavy rains and wind were just to the West of us. Turned out, we got a couple wind gusts and that was it, but it was enough to get most vendors to pack up quickly. As a result the customers left too.

Rigley did his job perfectly. He was a good draw.
