New Surroundings

Packed up and moved on to the West this morning and arrived on Pine Island late in the afternoon. We took the dotted road, a scenic road Florida style, have to admit it was refreshing after spending 3 weeks in the Port Canaveral and Cocoa Beach area, the land of t-shirts and beach toy joints. I am not complaining, we did see a lot from that location. Dolphins, turtles, armadillos, alligators, big birds, little birds, white, brown , black, pink,,,birds, even two peacocks and the Bobcat. And the rocket and shuttle launches were great !
The trip west brought us thru farm country, inland Florida. Cattle ranches and orange groves were all we saw for a good part of the day.

Stopped in North Port for a visit with Jackie Taylor and Allen before finally arriving in St.James City on Pine Island. This is the land of the Painted Poles.
Haven't explored yet, but just driving in we noticed many additions since we were here last year.
20 miles from City of Palms Park. Go Soxs!
