It is fair week and Austin and I have been very busy doing our thing.
The 143 Barnstable County Fair runs through Saturday. This year we entered some of those pictures we took when we went cross country. Rigley with his nose to the camera at Lost Dutchman State Park in Arizona ( Post; Dec. 17th)won a Red Ribbon (2nd) in the humor category. My dog biscuit won a Blue Ribbon as did my Congo Squares. Austin's Kingfisher also won a ribbon. Austin has been doing carving demonstrations near the Adult Exhibit Hall. Take a look, that seagull will soon be living at Stacey's house.
Remember Martha the Jersey Calf ? I was seen
bottle feeding her
on a previous Blog (post; April 26th).
Well, she is now 3 1/2 months
old and she visited me at the Souvenir Booth.
Martha is spending the
week in the beef barn. She is still very cute and
her Dad, Jim McGuire
has been walking her around to the delight of all
the kids.
Kelsey Scranton and her Mom, Rhonda came to the Cape for a visit. They spent a night with us and Kelsey just had to climb the tree out back. At the fair, Kelsey just couldn't get enough rides on the roller coaster. I guess when you a
re 10 years old you just don't get tired.
Just a few more days and it will be over until we start planning all over again for 2009.
