Welcome to Hurricane Season

Take a look at the 2008 T-Shirt that will be available in Cardinal Red and Vegas Gold at the Souvenir Booth during the Barnstable County Fair in July. My committee and I have been busy working on artwork and ideas for this years souvenirs. Special thanks to George Wright , Art Director over at Cape Cod Texile for his expertize and patience. This years "Limited Edition" cup plate from Earth-n-Fire Pottery, will feature a sheep. This is the 3rd in a series of animal plates that have become very popular.





Did you know that there will be 3 weekends of Bull Riding on the fair grounds? The first will be the crowning of the 2007 World Cup Bull Riding Champion. That event happens over Father's Day weekend. Then they will do it again during fair week and again in September.





This week we were able to finish the redo of the fish pond. The pond was created 8 years ago and was due for an overhaul. Some critter made a hole in the liner and that repair lead to the addition of an upper pond and waterfall. Still needs a little tweaking and some touching up to the landscaping but Austin did a great job creating the babbling brook I have wanted for so many years. I think the fish are happy too.













Did we take in yet another Red Sox game? We did and the Soxs beat the T.B.Rays last night. I wore my new Red Soxs Crocs, (gift from Travis & Donna). Suddenly ! from over in Right Field comes a crazy fan, running thru the outfield with three security guys on his tail. It was a football game and this guy was able to avoid being tackled all the way across the field heading to the end zone and then he just leaped into the box seats. Lost track of him after that, but I am sure another bunch of security guards were finally able to get him.


Next week we are off to The Great American Ball Park - Home of the Cincinnatti Reds.
