It's not a good morning for our neighbor, 4 houses down. Fire gutted the garage at 1736 Main Street and burned a portion of the house. I always refer to it as Mr. Churchill's house but he has since passed and his daughter owns the home built in 1900.Fortunately the house was saved . West Barnstable Fire Department and mutual aid from Barnstable, Sandwich and COMM did a great job preventing the spread of the fire and saving the house.
