Georgia & S.Carolina Adventures

Just down the road from camp at Crooked River State Park in St. Mary's Georgia we found the ruins of a tabby sugar works built by John McIntosh at New Canaan Plantation soon after 1825.

Tabby construction is a concrete made from lime, sand and oyster shells.

Okefenokee Swamp was a family adventure.   Here we met up with son Travis and his wife Donna.

We walked the brand new boardwalk, half mile round trip, through the swamp.  Then we took the 90 minute guided boat ride into the swamp.  It was a beautiful day where we saw gators, snakes, turtles and even a raccoon.  All of Travis' favorite things.

The Tour Buggie has now made it's way North to Beaufort South Carolina and Hunting Island State Park.  This is our fourth time camping in this park and is Rigley's favorite.  Beach walks several times a day just a few yards from our site.
