A Florida Thanksgiving

Sunny and in the 80's, welcome to Thanksgiving week in Florida. No campground for us this time around, we just parked in front of Trav and Donna's home, plugged in and settle down for the week.

Rigley wanted to jump in the pool so bad. He kept dropping his ball in the water but then just wouldn't take the plunge. He did manage to go down two steps but that was it. He was so funny.

Travis and Donna in their canoe and Austin and Diane in their inflatable kayak made for an enjoyable trip around the pond in the back yard. We did this a couple times before going out on other adventures.

Thanksgiving Day was low key. We kept it simple because Friday was the big day.

We packed up the Pilgrim Sandwiches, cranberry bread and desserts and headed for the St. John's River. Travis and Donna treated us to pontooning on the river. We launched from Lazy Daze Boat Rentals in Astor, FL and spent a relaxing day on the river.

The 20 foot, nearly new pontoon boat was a great fit for the five of us. Austin, Travis and Donna took turns at the wheel and Rigley kept a lookout for manatees, gators, birds, turtles and birdhouses.
A fun day at the end of a great week. Thanks Trav and Donna
