May has been a busy month. Stacey and Gary gave me tickets to a Red Soxs/Yankees game on Mother's Day. And the Red Soxs won!
Several months back I won tickets for the Cuttyhunk Ferry. So, on our 28th Anniversary we hopped on board and headed to the Island. The original name for Cuttyhunk was "Poocuohhunkkunnah", a Wampanoag word that means "the end of the land". The island is the last in the Elizabeth Island chain off Falmouth, Cape Cod. We had 4 hours to explore the island which is 1 1/2 miles long and 3/4 mile wide.

There isn't much on this island, most people have golf carts to get around.
The year round population is less that 100. Electricity comes from a generator, the market is part of house, and they have a one room schoolhouse. In the summer you can buy pizza from someones garage. Needless to say, it is very quaint, and very friendly. They love dogs too!
The weather was just gorgeous and we walked every where we could exploring and enjoying the serenity. Just might have to go back again another time.
The tourbuggie will be on the road again this summer so check back and see what adventures we have.
