Rally Weekend

It was the NY Gulfstreamers, Chapter 5, Spring Rally. Yes, New York is correct. The Law's, The Gallo's and The Foster's are all MA residents belonging to the NY Chapter because there is no longer a MA Group (used to be The Bay Staters) and we don't want to start one. Anyway, our friend Bill was the Wagon Master and the rest of us were his helpers. Being from Massachusetts, we planned the rally at the Circle CG Farm Campground in Bellingham, MA.

In the picture are Cheryl, Diane, Diane and Joyce.

Friday night we had a bit of rain so the men created a large tent using a tarp, (no rec hall at this campground). They used the awning of the Gallo coach and an EZ-Up tent for support. It looked silly but worked well. On the menu was clam chowdah and HoBo Soup.

Have you ever made HoBo Soup? it's quite good and went well on a rainy, cool evening. The idea is that everyone brings a can of their favorite soup, anything but creamed soups, and it all gets added together. In this case, we supplied the different soups and poured them in to a large pot. Once it got hot you add a bottle of wine. WaLa! HoBo Soup.

Saturday we had hot dogs and beans followed by a Yankee Swap. Austin conducted the swap.

Rigley had fun with his friend Bentley and somehow I became the Wagon Master for the June 2010 Rally.
