Smokin' Oyster

The pretty little sand dollars on Sanibel Island.

They are little, one inch or less. While everyone is stooping for shells, Austin and I collected over 100 of these tiny gems. We were on Bowman's Beach at the far western end of Sanibel.

Another great dog friendly beach, Rigley loved the waves.

We had a great night at the Smokin' Oyster Brewery on Fort Myers Beach. Known locally as the S.O.B.,this pub was established in 1997.

Austin and I were here to meet my high school friend Marguerite and her husband Bill Rountree.

We dined on grouper sandwiches and stuffed flounder while being entertained by Bill, and Dave Richardson. Bill is an electric bassist/vocalist that during the Spring, Summer and Fall plays with The Cape Cod Slackers, and during the winter has many gigs in Southwest Florida.

Good times and good friends, I'll drink to that.
