Celebration

Our home base is Jetty Park at Cape Canaveral . We arrived a few days ago and have been scouting out good areas to see the Schuttle Discovery launch (March 11th, maybe). At Merritt Island Nat'l Wildlife Refuge we saw 2 armadillo's, a bobcat, and many gators.

Jetty Park is actually at Port Canaveral. Cruise ships dock here on the Banana River. Fishing boats come and go. There is a large pier that was built for viewing rocket launches. Austin has been fishing from the pier while I sit at the home working on sewing projects.

Today we had to head out to Kissimmee. The Tourbuggie had to be dropped off at Camping World because the a/c wasn't working. Anticipating a long day we met up with Massachusetts friends, Cheryl and Dick. They took us to a great quaint village called Celebration. We window shopped, had lunch and walked a pathway around a pond.

The walkway lead us to a large star/compass, a water fountain. It was one that shoots water up from the ground at different intervals. Rigley loved it. He never new which hole would squirt the water.

Back at Camping World, we had to buy a new air conditioner.
