Merry Chrismas from far away in California.
Christmas Eve in Mt Baldy Village at the Buckhorn Lodge. The tiny town sits 6000 feet up Mt. Baldy. Had dinner with the locals on paper plates, but it was good food and laughter.
Christmas morning we're up for traditional breakfast of eggs (ick!), bacon and pancakes and then off for a holiday drive. Our Christmas tour took us up the San Gabriel Canyon Road (Rte.39)thru the San Gabriel Mountains and back down the Glendora Mountain Road to Glendora. Beautiful views from a small narrow winding road where falling rocks actually have fallen, all over the place.
What's with these trees?? Giant green mushrooms? The Rte. 66 Town of Duarte must have nothing to do but shape trees. Weird.
high ho, high ho its' off to work in the morning we go. Stay tuned.......
