Camping friends from near and far arrived on Cape Cod for our Spring into summer get together. Only this year the RV's stayed parked in our yards and the Foster's opened their Bed & Breakfast for the week. No reason to spend money on gas when there was room at the inn.
Right out of the gate we hopped on board the steamship authority fast ferry "Iyanough"
for the one hour trip to Nantucket.

Walked the beach at Chatham Light and the trail at Monomoy. Downtown Chatham was a fun spot to check out the shops.
Made the loop through Orleans and down route 6A and made a stop at Bass Hole in Yarmouthport to walk the boardwalk.

The ducks made a visit to our koi and goldfish pond. They usually hang out in the mud hole of a pond behind our barn but this day they made an appearance near the house. Not sure what Mr. Mallard is doing with two girls this year, but it's cute watching them waddle through the yard.
In Woods Hole we visited the seals at the aquarium and had lunch at Pie in the Sky. Then made the loop around Nobska Light. An article in the paper said they are looking to lease this property, are you interested?

There are more plans for summer fun this year as I have made it my mission to be a tourist in my our back yard. I will keep you posted.
