Autumn Adventures

Time is sure flying by and we are keeping busy. In mid September Austin and I attended the NY Gulf Streamers at our Fall rally in Farmington, NY. We had a great time being kids. Most of the group played mini golf, harassing each other and being foolish.   At other times, some fished in the little pond and caught little fish, catch and release. It was a big competition to see who had the best technique and who caught the most fish. Rigley wanted to try but management wouldn't let him.   Of course we had to try the Zip-line, rope walk, climbing wall and other stuff, after all, we are kids at heart.  Lots of good food, fun and games . On the way home we made a big pumpkin purchase at a local farm stand. Those gourds are proudly displayed in our yard.

Made a special trip out to Shelburne Falls to watch my young friend Kelsey Scranton play Field Hockey. An 8th grader, Kelsey plays JV for Mohawk Regional High School. Great job Kelsey!
The National Labrador Speciality was held last week at the Brooklyn Fairgrounds in Brooklyn ,CT .  My friend Joan entered Rigley's friend Graycee in a number of events.  With our 2 dogs, we packed up the Tour Buggie (RV) and headed for the show. It was Gracyee's first RV camping experience and Rigley, a camping pro, just didn't know what to make of so may dogs in one place. Most called Riggs the long haired lab and he got along well with others.  Graycee and Joan were entered in several events and I became a runner between events to keep them signed in and on time.  I also played photographer. Graycee qualified 4 times for two legs in 5 & 6 , AKC Rally Advanced Excellent.  Graycee also got her Agility Novice Standard Title and won first place. Congrats to Joan and Graycee.
I should mention that we locked ourselves out of the RV and Joan climbed through the window.  To bad the camera was inside and I couldn't get a picture.  It was a lot of laughs.
