My weekend adventure to Florida was a bust. I attended a "Becoming an Outdoors Woman Workshop" in Ocala Florida with my daughter-in-law Donna. This is a program being offered all over the country and we thought it might be fun.
The weekend was at a youth camp in the Ocala State Forest. We stayed in a bunk house with 10 other woman. Our first workshop was "learning to read the woods" , we got to make animal prints in plaster of paris. Saturday morning we did "introduction to bird watching" where Donna new more about osprey than the guide. Saturday afternoon was "maps and compass basics". At about that time we decided it was just way too basic for our liking. We already new way more than they were teaching us, and the food was lousy, so we bailed out that night.
So much for that adventure. Time spent with Travis and Donna was good though.
Rigley won "The Dirtiest Dog" contest. He received over 800 votes. Thanks to all for voting. His prize was this very festive, colorful bandanna.
