The Gals went to Fenway Park today. Red Sox vs the K.C.Royals. The leader of our group was Barbara Heald , a friend of over 30 years. I arrived at Barbs house and then over to pick up neighbor Judy and sister Beverly, then we were on the road. We arrived at the Quincy/Adams T Station where we had to learn about the "CharlieCard". It was a little confusing for the country bumpkins from Cape Cod, especially Barb when her change came out as 16 gold dollar coins. It's the first time we've seen these coins and I tell ya, they are just a hair bigger than a quarter. I decided to buy some of those coins off Barbara and stick them back in the machine where they belong and applied them to my "CharlieCard". Barbara was counting them out like quarters so we had to do something to save her.
Barb tends to go into spin dry mode when things don't run smoothly. We needed a drink after that so we stopped in at the bar on Yawkey way.
Daisuke Matsuzaka was on the mound and the sun kept trying to come out and there were a few rain drops from time to time but we had a great time. Two GRAND SLAMS, by J. D. Drew and Mike Lowell helped give Dice K his 8th win (no loses) of the season.
We walked around the outside of Fenway while we waited for the crowds to dissipate. Got to see the players load the buses for the airport. They are off to Oakland for their next series. Go Soxs!
Check out the link below, it brings you to my daughter Stacey's photo gallery. Pet photography is her thing and you can even find new pictures of Rigley.
